Félix-Antoine Bérubé-Simard

Ph. D.

Co-Director — Innovation and Technology Transfer — Mycotechnologies

Félix-Antoine Bérubé-Simard holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, a master’s degree and a Ph. D. in cell and molecular biology from Université Laval. His doctoral research focused on understanding pulmonary development and the mechanisms associated with emphysema in a mouse model. After his graduate studies, he held a position as a postdoctoral researcher at Université du Québec à Montréal (2014-2019), where he developed an interest in the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of certain rare genetic diseases. He then gathered some experience in laboratory management at the CHU de Québec Research Centre. Félix-Antoine joined Biopterre in November 2020, bolstering our expertise with his 15 years of experience in the field of molecular biology and “omics” technologies, such as metagenomics, transcriptomics and proteomics.
